Welcome to Financial Shared Services

At Indiana University, FNSS is a centralized unit within University Administration that integrates critical financial functions such as accounting, payroll, invoicing, budgeting, analysis, and financial reporting. By aligning these functions under one umbrella, FNSS ensures consistent procedures and practices, improves communication, and enhances efficiency across departments. This approach leads to accuracy with financial data, great accountability and supports informed decision-making by IU leadership, ultimately enhancing the financial performance of the University.

FNSS offers Shared Financial Services to various University Administration units, including the Offices of the Vice Presidents for Finance, Information Technology, Research, Public Safety, Student Success, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, International Affairs, Regional and Online Campuses, Communications and Marketing, Strategic Operations, the Board of Trustees, the President’s Office, and other UA units. Each unit is supported by Finance Administration Leaders who report to the Associate Vice President for Budget and Planning. By centralizing financial management, FNSS enables these units to focus on their primary functions while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance, contributing to the university's overall success.

The FNSS Finance team is committed to delivering high-quality financial services that ensure accuracy, accountability, and informed decision-making.
